As Regional Specialist for C40 Cities, CitiesPractice supported the scaling of municipal climate budgeting across South and West Asia — working alongside the network’s flagship climate-budgeting cities including Mumbai, London, New York and Oslo to adapt the format for lower fiscal-capacity municipal contexts.

The work focused on the accountability structures underneath the climate-budgeting format, not just the reporting template: line-item ownership inside existing departmental budgets, and a variance-reporting cadence that survives a tight fiscal year rather than getting quietly dropped.
